History of Irish football

Ireland is a football nation when every local loves and watches football match as their daily favorite.

From Ireland, there are many talented players and head coaches to contribute winnings for some teams in the Premier Leagues. However, someone is confusing between football in Ireland and the UK. Although they have familiar performance and though, they are independent football.

So, to understand more about football in Ireland, we refer some major events in there as followings.

Irish football was introduced firstly when McAlery who was considered as founder of this game. Once a time on the honeymoon in Edinburgh, Scotland, he saw one match on the pitch. However, it was not updated new regulations as in the UK. Finally, he decided to advertise this interesting game from the UK to there.

He invited two teams: Queens Park and Caledonians and Ulster Cricket Grounds to play together at Balleynafeigh in 1877. In this match, the Irish sport association also met and watched all match.

Finally, the Queens Park defeated Ulster Cricket Grounds with 3-2 goals. Since this match, Irish people can imagine more about an official football match.

After two years, McAlery decided to establish one football club officially in 1897 at Ireland. His club was named after Cliftonville. He also introduced his team by advertising good news to the News Letter or the Northern Whig. All was the same as purpose as to introduce more and more players and spectators throughout the nation.

Immediately, Liftonville received many invitations and requests to compete each other.

In 1897, the first match of Liftonville was against Quidnunces. Finally, they finished with 2-0 scores. Although the process to go to winning was further, the establishment of this club was sensitive to appeal other teams to set up official clubs.

This was put as the first event to create winning and experience all the time.
